The Hong Kong Youth Development Summit continued on 7 November 2026 with three afternoon forums, bringing together leaders from creative industries, cultural arts, academia, innovation and business to share experiences with young people. The forums aimed to help youth explore new frontiers under the themes of cultural tourism, global exposure and digital connectivity.

The afternoon session opened with a speech by Cai Huaijun, general manager and deputy director of Hunan Broadcasting System. The first forum, titled 'Culture and Tourism as Complements: Inheritance and Innovation', was moderated by Legislative Council Member Holden Ho. Panelists included Andre Blumberg, founder of the Hong Kong Four Trails Ultra Challenge; Cai Huaijun; and Dennis Kim, CEO of Kai Tak Sports Park. They discussed cross-sector collaboration, cultural IP development and how young people can inject creativity into the tourism industry.

The second forum, 'Diverse Development: Embracing the World', was addressed by Deputy Director of the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau Leung Wang-wang. Panelists included pianist Shen Jingtao, singer Tsang Pok and actor Zhang Songwen. They shared their success stories in pursuing careers on the mainland and internationally, and discussed how the government can create diverse opportunities for young people to pursue their dreams.

The final forum, 'Deepening Connectivity: Integrating into the Big Picture', was moderated by Youth Development Commission member Ho Pui-lam. Panelists included Professor Anderson Shum, vice-president of the University of Hong Kong; Charles Mok, president of the Internet Professional Association; and Ming Yeung, CEO of C-Holdings (Hong Kong). They explored how Hong Kong can enhance connectivity with the mainland and the world, focusing on artificial intelligence, digital entertainment and startup investment opportunities for youth.

From 6 to 8 November, the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau organised local visits and exchange activities for more than 500 participants from the mainland and overseas. Youth ambassadors from the YDC and the Youth Network served as guides, promoting cross-regional exchanges and showcasing Hong Kong's appeal in innovation, technology and culture.
