The International Financial Leaders Investment Summit concluded on Wednesday 4 November 2026 in Hong Kong, with a seminar titled 'Dialogue with International Investors' bringing together more than 300 overseas and local leaders from financial markets, business and public institutions.

The seminar was jointly organised by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) and the Financial Academy. It served as the final day of the three-day 2026 International Financial Leaders Investment Summit.

Eddie Yue, Chief Executive of the HKMA and Chairman of the Financial Academy, said: 'Amid a complex and rapidly changing economic environment and investment landscape, the fifth summit has evolved into an important platform for global financial dialogue. The summit brought together global financial leaders, highlighting Hong Kong's position as a leading international financial centre.'

Dr Huang Tien-tai, Chairman of the SFC, said: 'Hong Kong, as Asia's financial gateway, is resilient and superbly positioned – innovative, well-connected and deeply trusted globally. As circumstances change, we uphold market quality and resilience, enforce robust governance, and open new opportunities for global investors, turning challenges into a new chapter of prosperity.'

Over the three days, the summit attracted more than 300 participants, including over 100 group chairmen and chief executives from leading global financial institutions covering banks, securities firms, asset owners, asset management companies, private equity and venture capital firms, hedge funds and insurance companies. This year's summit was held under the theme 'Embrace Change, Forge New Frontiers'. During the seminar, more than 20 top global investors shared insights on key issues including changes in asset and wealth management and alternative investment activities, growing investment opportunities in Asia, and how artificial intelligence is transforming portfolio management and risk assessment.
