Three young sisters died when a fire swept through a soybean processing workshop in Leizhou City, Guangdong Province, on 16 June 2003.
The fire destroyed the workshop which was located in a densely populated area of the city. It is believed that the fire was caused by a gas stove.
The three sisters were Lin Xiaoling, 25, and Lin Feisan, 22 who had just established the small workshop and their younger sister,Lin Xiaoni, 21, who was visiting.
