Hong Kong creative firms showcase at China International Comics and Animation Exhibition

The Hong Kong Creative Industries Office (HKCIO) has sponsored 16 Hong Kong enterprises to participate in the China International Comics and Animation Exhibition (CICF) for the second consecutive year, the government announced on 2 October 2026.

The Hong Kong pavilion, themed “C-Trip Animation”, offered immersive interactive experiences including original IP character stage interactions, game trials and live drawing sessions by veteran comic artists. For the first time, the pavilion introduced a smart guided tour system that allowed visitors to browse company profiles, work backgrounds, creative concepts and highlights, enhancing the exhibition experience.

Through participation in the exhibition, Hong Kong’s creative industry demonstrated its diverse creative capabilities and actively promoted its works to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area market. The initiative aimed to facilitate the connection of creative resources between Hong Kong and the mainland market, achieving complementary industrial advantages.

As one of the most prestigious and influential animation and comic exhibitions in the Greater Bay Area, this year’s CICF is expected to feature more than 1,000 brands and 7,000 related products, targeting over 450,000 visitor and interaction sessions.

More information about the CICF and the Hong Kong pavilion is available at www.cicfexpo.com and www.hkdea.org.
