Hong Kong aviation seminar explores national 15th Five-Year Plan
Hong Kong's Transport and Logistics Bureau held a seminar on the national 15th Five-Year Plan for civil aviation and Hong Kong's own five-year plan. Over 100 local aviation representatives attended, with officials from the Civil Aviation Administration of China and the Liaison Office.
Hong Kong's Transport and Logistics Bureau on Thursday hosted a seminar to discuss the national 15th Five-Year Plan for civil aviation development and Hong Kong's five-year plan for the aviation industry. The event brought together about 100 representatives from the local aviation sector.
A delegation led by Han Jun, deputy head of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), travelled to Hong Kong for the seminar. Xu Weigang, director of the Economic Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Hong Kong, also attended.
In her welcome address, Secretary for Transport and Logistics Mable Chan thanked the CAAC delegation for travelling to Hong Kong and the Liaison Office for its support. She said the seminar allowed Hong Kong's aviation industry to gain first-hand understanding of national development strategies.
Chan outlined three priorities: supporting the national goal of smooth international transport corridors; deepening multimodal transport links within the Greater Bay Area to improve hub development; and strengthening professional and high-end aviation services to introduce global innovation for national civil aviation. She called on the industry to plan strategic nodes that serve the national blueprint.
Han Jun delivered a speech explaining the strategic significance of the CAAC's 15th Five-Year Plan for deepening high-quality civil aviation development. He thanked the Hong Kong aviation sector for its enthusiastic participation.
Representatives from several aviation industry bodies shared their plans for implementing the 15th Five-Year Plan and Hong Kong's five-year plan. Delegates from the industry, the CAAC delegation and government teams held in-depth exchanges both during and after the seminar.
