The Hong Kong Wine and Food Festival will take place from 29 October to 1 November at the Central Harbourfront Event Space and Tamar Park, the organiser, the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), has announced. The HKTB expects 168,000 visits during the four-day event, which will feature more than 340 booths, an increase of more than 10 per cent from last year.
The festival will showcase beverages and cuisine from about 30 countries and regions. New pavilions from Australia, Canada and South Korea will make their debut. For the first time, the event will also include limited guided tasting experiences.
Members of the public and tourists can purchase tickets on site or book them via Trip.com from 13 October. The opening hours are: 29 October from 7.30pm to midnight; 30 and 31 October from 1pm to 1am; and 1 November from 1pm to midnight.
The HKTB said the festival will be followed by Hong Kong Food Month in November. Festival-goers can use their ticket stubs to claim exclusive offers at designated restaurants, retailers and trade associations. The HKTB will also launch a Hong Kong Late-Night Food Map to promote evening dining venues, aiming to encourage tourists to extend their stays and boost spending.
