Hong Kong 2027 Corporate Games open for registration from 15 Oct
The Leisure and Cultural Services Department says the 2027 Corporate Games will accept registrations from 15 October. The biennial event for public and private employees features 11 sports. Organisations must register as SmartPLAY group users first.
The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) announced on 12 October that registration for the 2027 Corporate Games will open on 15 October. The biennial multi-sport event is organised by LCSD for employees of public and private organisations in Hong Kong. It aims to encourage working adults to exercise regularly, build physical fitness, foster team spirit, promote sports participation, and convey the message that regular exercise is beneficial to health.
The 2027 Corporate Games will feature 11 sports: athletics, badminton, basketball, long-distance running, five-a-side football, snooker, table tennis, tennis, bowling, volleyball, and 11-a-side football. The first registration phase runs from 15 October to 15 November and covers bowling, long-distance running, five-a-side football, and 11-a-side football. Registration for the remaining sports will open in subsequent phases. Interested organisations must first register as a group user of the SmartPLAY system, a process that takes approximately 10 working days, before submitting their registration applications.
Competitions are divided into two categories: Category A for organisations and government departments that employ 300 or more staff in Hong Kong, and Category B for those with fewer than 300 staff in Hong Kong. Winning organisations in each sport will receive fixed points. The organisation that accumulates the highest total points across all sports in its category will be awarded the 2027 Corporate Games Overall Champion Trophy.
