Dashcam shows schoolboy darting into motorcycle in San Po Kong
A dashcam video posted on Tuesday shows a schoolboy running out from between parked cars on Kam Wing Street and hitting a motorcycle's mirror. The rider was unhurt and expressed relief there were no injuries, before adjusting his mirror and leaving.
A dashcam video posted online on Tuesday afternoon captured a schoolboy in a mask suddenly running out from between parked cars on Kam Wing Street in San Po Kong, clipping a motorcycle's right mirror.
The motorcyclist was travelling along Kam Wing Street towards Yin Hing Street around 4pm when the boy, wearing a school uniform, darted out from the right side of the front of the motorcycle. The rider braked immediately, but the right mirror still hit the boy's left hand.
The boy appeared unhurt and continued crossing the road, while the rider exclaimed in shock. He told nearby residents: “You scared me to death, I hit him!”
The rider said he was glad the collision was not serious, adding: “No injuries is what matters most, the bike is a small matter.” He adjusted the right mirror and drove off. The video did not show whether the boy was injured or whether anyone called police or an ambulance.
