Reporting to the Permanent Secretary for Education, through Deputy Secretary for Education, the Chief Executive, Curriculum Development Institute has the following major duties and responsibilities – (a) to steer the development, review and optimisation of primary and secondary school curriculum of key learning areas and subjects, including Language Education, Physical Education, Arts Education, Personal, Humanities and Social Education, senior secondary Citizenship and Social Development, and Applied Learning; as well as cross-curricular areas, including Values Education, National Education (including Patriotic Education, National Security Education, the Constitution and Basic Law Education), and Digital Education; (b) to serve as the Vice Chairman of the Curriculum Development Council, and in collaboration with the Innovation Technology Education Division, steer and direct the… Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment and should have – (a) a bachelor degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent; plus a higher degree in education; (b)(i) a Bachelor of Education (BEd)/ Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) / Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from a Hong Kong tertiary education institution, or equivalent; or (ii) a teacher's certificate awarded by the former Colleges of Education or the former Hong Kong Institute of Education, or equivalent; (c) at least 12 years' post-first degree experience in teaching and one or more of the following areas on a full-time basis: curriculum…
