An Artisan (Electrical) is mainly deployed on installing, operating, repairing, maintaining and overhauling electrical plants and equipment including electrical distribution, sewage treatment facilities, electricity generators, electric motors, electronic equipment and apparatus; and training and supervising apprentices and minor staff. Candidates should have (a)(i) completed a full apprenticeship or other approved course of practical training in electrical engineering; or (ii) at least four years' experience in electrical engineering; and (b) completed Primary 6 education, or equivalent; and (c) attained a level of proficiency in Chinese and English languages equivalent to Primary 6 standard; and (d) a pass result in the Basic Law and National Security Law Test. [Notes: (i) Candidate will be required to pass a trade test (except those candidates who have completed a full apprenticeship in electrical engineering).
