Woman injured by falling banana in Kwun Tong estate
A woman was hit on the head by a falling banana while exercising at a Kwun Tong estate on Sunday morning. Police are investigating the incident as a case of dropping objects from a height.
A woman suffered head injuries after being struck by a falling banana while exercising at a recreational ground in Po Pui Court, Kwun Tong, on Sunday morning, The Standard reported.
The incident occurred at 7.55am when the woman was using a fitness bicycle at the podium garden opposite Po Ying House. A banana suddenly fell from height and hit her on the head.
The victim felt dizzy following the impact, according to the report. She remained conscious and was taken to hospital by ambulance for medical treatment.
Police cordoned off the recreational area for investigation. Authorities are treating the case as dropping objects from a height, and the criminal investigation team has taken over the follow-up.
