Motorcyclist dies after hit-and-run collision in Pat Heung
A 35-year-old motorcyclist died after a hit-and-run collision with a light goods vehicle on Tsuen Kam Road in Pat Heung late on 8 October. Police are appealing for witnesses.
A 35-year-old motorcyclist has died after a hit-and-run collision in Pat Heung late on Wednesday, 8 October. Police are appealing for witnesses.
The accident happened at around 9pm. The man was riding a motorcycle along Tsuen Kam Road towards Tsuen Wan when he was allegedly hit by the side mirror of a light goods vehicle travelling in the opposite direction. The motorcyclist lost his balance and fell to the ground, sustaining injuries to his hands and legs.
The light goods vehicle did not stop at the scene and drove away. The motorcyclist was taken to Pok Oi Hospital for treatment but was pronounced dead shortly after midnight on 9 October.
The case is being investigated by the Special Investigation Team of the New Territories North Traffic Department. Police have urged anyone who witnessed the incident or has information to call 3661 3800.
