Malaysian woman arrested at HK airport with HK$5.4m ketamine in coffee powder
Hong Kong Customs arrested a 28-year-old Malaysian woman at Hong Kong International Airport on Sunday after seizing about 15kg of suspected ketamine, worth about HK$5.4 million, hidden in coffee powder packages in her suitcase. The woman had arrived from Paris via Taipei.
Hong Kong Customs arrested a 28-year-old Malaysian woman at Hong Kong International Airport on Sunday after seizing about 15 kilogrammes of suspected ketamine with an estimated market value of about HK$5.4 million.
The woman arrived from Paris via Taipei. During customs clearance, officers found the suspected ketamine concealed in coffee powder packages inside her check-in suitcase.
The investigation is ongoing. Customs reminded the public that drug trafficking carries a maximum penalty of HK$5 million and life imprisonment.
