Kai Tak Sports Park hosts inaugural harbourfront Halloween festival

Kai Tak Sports Park is hosting its first Halloween party along the harbourfront, with a series of events titled “Terror-ific Kai Tak” running from 17 to 31 October. The festival, which opened on 17 October with a costumed flash mob, takes place across the park’s Dining Cove and Kai Tak Mall on five dates: 17, 24, 25, 30, and 31 October.

The programme blends pop culture, family- and pet-friendly activities, and night-time entertainment. Visitors can watch the facade of Kai Tak Stadium come alive with a dynamic “Halloween Pumpkin” light show featuring playful pumpkins and spooky elements, while a giant “Halloween Moon” installation has been set up at Kai Tak Sports Avenue.

On 25 October, World Cosplay Summit 2026 world champions AR★Lu and Ronnie Kui will make a special appearance, teaming up with comic artist Wai On for a public housing-themed haunted attraction. Musical programming along the waterfront will be headlined by local rapper Dan James on 24 and 31 October, with outdoor busking, DJ sets, and competitive street dance showcases.

The Halloween Marketplace sees the debut of three celebrity brands at the park. Film and TV star Ron Ng launches his pet food brand “Joy Pet Pet”, actress Eliza Sam unveils her bakery brand “Sweet Talk”, and actor Wong Cho-lam presents “Cholam’s Choice”, a curated selection of Hong Kong culinary treats.

During the family and pet catwalk show, families and pets will strut the runway in costume, complemented by a “Terror-ific Cuteness” retro cha chaan teng photo zone. Locals and tourists can also enjoy exclusive rewards including a treasure hunt, trick-or-treat candy giveaways, and limited-time merchant discounts.
