The Intangible Cultural Heritage Office of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government launched a new exhibition titled 'Living Craftsmanship' on 5 October 2026. The exhibition is being held at the CLP Clock Tower Cultural Centre at 147 Argyle Street in Kowloon’s Ho Man Tin district and is free to the public.
The exhibition covers eight intangible cultural heritage items related to traditional Hong Kong handicrafts. These include the techniques of making bridal gowns, fabric flower buttons, paper and bamboo crafts, Cantonese opera headpieces, wooden boats, steaming baskets, mahjong tiles and Canton enamelware. Alongside a display of handcrafted heritage pieces and the tools used to produce them, the exhibition incorporates interactive multimedia programmes that illustrate the vitality of traditional crafts in contemporary society.
The exhibition is part of the broader 'Promoting Chinese Culture Series' organised by the government.
