The Hong Kong Jockey Club has announced it is awarding over HK$5.56 million to athletes from the Hong Kong, China delegation following the conclusion of the fifth Asian Para Games on 24 October. The cash rewards are distributed through the Jockey Club Athlete Incentive Awards Scheme, which the Club runs in partnership with the Hong Kong Sports Institute.

The Hong Kong, China team, comprising 80 athletes competing in 10 sports, won a total of 41 medals at the week-long event: three gold, 14 silver and 24 bronze. The Club said the awards underscore its commitment to recognising athletic excellence and supporting the local sports community.

The Club warmly congratulated the delegation for their dedication, perseverance and determination to push beyond their limits. The Asian Para Games are the second major event covered under a new cycle of the incentive scheme, which the Club announced in August.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club said it remains proud to support the holistic development of athletes and contribute to the betterment of society through the scheme.
