Beijing reiterates opposition to military use of civilian drones
Beijing restated its opposition to the use of civilian drones for military purposes and defended its export controls on dual-use items, urging parties to work towards a political resolution to the Ukraine crisis instead of making unfounded allegations.

Foreign ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun was asked whether the Chinese government was aware of, and what measures it would take to prevent, supplies of drones and components to military users in Russia and Ukraine.
Guo said China had always taken a cautious and responsible attitude towards arms exports, strictly controlling dual-use items in accordance with its domestic export control laws and regulations as well as its international obligations.
He called on all parties to play a constructive role in the political settlement of the Ukraine crisis, rather than engaging in unwarranted speculation and malicious linkage.
China opposes the use of civilian drones for military purposes, Guo added.
