Macau's gross gambling revenue fell year on year for the fifth consecutive month in October, according to the latest figures from the Macau Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau. Revenue for the month reached 21.68 billion patacas, an increase of more than 3.6 billion patacas, or about 20 per cent, from September, but still down roughly 10 per cent compared with October 2025.

In the first 10 months of the year, Macau's total gambling revenue stood at 208.796 billion patacas, up 1.6 per cent from the same period last year, the bureau said.

Macau's Chief Executive, Sam Hou Fai, said last month that the government would not for now adjust its full-year forecast of 236 billion patacas in gambling tax revenue. Sam said the authorities were studying the reasons for the recent monthly declines and assessing the impact on Macau, including challenges to social welfare and people's livelihoods.
