Hong Kong shares slip at midday; Lenovo drops 7.6 per cent
Hong Kong stocks edged lower by midday, with the Hang Seng Index down 0.95 per cent to 23,956 points. Lenovo led losses, plunging 7.56 per cent, while mainland benchmarks were mixed.

Hong Kong shares edged lower by midday, with the benchmark Hang Seng Index dipping 229 points, or 0.95 per cent, to 23,956 points. Half-day market turnover reached HK$102 billion.
The tech gauge fell 1.21 per cent to 4,058 points, with Lenovo (0992) leading the decline by plunging 7.56 per cent.
On the mainland, the Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index slipped 3.17 points, or 0.08 per cent, to 3,727 points. The Shenzhen Stock Exchange Composite Index rose 0.18 per cent to 11,838 points.
