The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is set to host its fifth Global Financial Leaders' Investment Summit from November 2 to 4 at the Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong, with senior executives from HSBC, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, UBS and Citadel Securities expected to attend, Bloomberg reported on Monday.
The summit will also draw representatives from Standard Chartered, Franklin Templeton, State Street and Bain Capital, according to people familiar with the matter. However, the report noted that details of the summit and guest lists have not yet been finalised and are subject to change.
Bloomberg could not reach some of the relevant financial institutions for comment, and some spokespersons declined to comment on the matter. An HKMA spokesman said the summit will invite global business leaders to discuss the latest developments in the global market and economy, adding that the authority is still making preparations and will announce details in due course.
The event will feature seminars with speakers including entrepreneurs, investment bankers and asset managers, covering topics such as the economic outlook, geopolitical risks and artificial intelligence risks, the people said. The HKMA will also hold a welcome dinner at The Henderson on November 2.
Last year, the summit welcomed over 300 financial leaders. At previous summits, senior officials from mainland China typically reported on the country's policy headwinds.
