Hong Kong International Airport has hosted the Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific and Middle East regional board meeting, bringing together leaders from 20 airports worldwide for two days of discussions on key issues and latest developments in the aviation industry.
Airport Authority chairman Lam Tin-fuk, who also serves as first vice-chairman of the ACI Asia-Pacific and Middle East regional board, chaired the meeting. Discussions covered global airport development, policy advocacy priorities and the outlook for airport infrastructure investment.
Lam said the global aviation operating environment continues to face challenges. Industry leaders at the meeting discussed infrastructure, capacity expansion, innovation and sustainable development – all of which, he noted, are critical for airports to continue developing and to serve as engines of economic growth.
Hong Kong International Airport will continue to work closely with the ACI Asia-Pacific and Middle East region to promote sustainable growth of the aviation industry and enhance regional connectivity, Lam added.
