Chinese EV makers Xpeng, Nio, Zeekr report record October deliveries
Chinese electric vehicle makers Xpeng, Nio and Zeekr posted record or strong delivery growth in October, while Li Auto and Deepal saw declines. Xpeng delivered 50,237 vehicles, up 20 per cent year-on-year, including a record 13,326 overseas units.
Chinese electric vehicle makers Xpeng, Nio and Zeekr reported strong delivery performance in October, with several setting new monthly records, according to data released on 1 November.
Xpeng (9868) delivered 50,237 new vehicles in October, a 20 per cent increase year-on-year and a new record for the company's monthly deliveries. Of these, 13,326 units were delivered in overseas markets, a 1.66-fold rise year-on-year, also setting a new monthly record for overseas deliveries.
Nio (9866) delivered 34,246 new vehicles in October. Of these, 8,383 were under the Onvo brand and 7,738 under the Firefly brand. Cumulative deliveries for Nio reached a record 334,547 vehicles as of the end of October, up 38.5 per cent year-on-year.
Zeekr delivered 32,483 vehicles in October, a 51.6 per cent jump year-on-year. From January to October, Zeekr delivered 320,887 vehicles, already exceeding its annual target of 300,000 vehicles ahead of schedule.
In contrast, Li Auto (2015) delivered 29,025 new vehicles in October, an 8.6 per cent drop from the same period last year. Cumulative deliveries for Li Auto exceeded 1.86 million vehicles as of the end of October.
Deepal's deliveries fell 11.39 per cent year-on-year to 32,060 units in October. The Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance delivered 33,537 units in October, with an average transaction price of over 400,000 yuan (HK$471,174).
