Changzhou Microintelligence postpones HK IPO amid market conditions

Chinese intelligent robots producer Changzhou Microintelligence Co (3275) has decided to postpone its global offering and planned listing on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, the company announced on Monday. The decision came after considering various factors, including current market conditions.

The company had previously planned to raise up to HK$800 million through the sale of 32.28 million H shares. Full refunds for investors will be processed via cheques starting Wednesday, without interest.

Changzhou Microintelligence Co, based in Jiangsu province, specialises in the production of intelligent robots. The postponement reflects broader challenges in the market for initial public offerings, particularly for technology firms seeking listings in Hong Kong.

The company did not provide a revised timetable for the offering or listing, stating only that the decision was made after careful evaluation of market conditions. Investors who had subscribed to the shares will receive their full subscription amounts back.

The postponement comes amid a period of heightened volatility in global equity markets, which has prompted several companies to delay their listing plans. Hong Kong's stock exchange has seen a slowdown in new listings this year as companies reassess their fundraising strategies.
